There are many rewards which go hand in hand with blazing a trail to prosperity through your home computer and an internet connection. More time for yourself and family, no alarm clock, no Monday morning dread, no commute, dress any way you ant, no sick days, vacation when you feel like it, and so much more. It’s really worth it to pursue this because you can work in part time as long as you need to until it reaches critical mass and then you can make the transition to full time self employment mode, if that’s what you crave.
In this article I’ll tell you a few ways, but the benefits first. First of all, it’s not a “job” so you’re only boss is you and you don’t have to worry about job interviews, resumes, judgemental bosses, performance reviews, tiny pay raises, or office politics complete with busy body or snippy co-workers. You don’t have to wake up early if you don’t want to. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Yeah, that sounds chipper, MLM Ninja, so how do I go about it?
First off, working from home online requires discipline and persistence. There will be days when you want to throw in the towel and raise the flag of surrender. Don’t!!! I can’t guarantee your income results, because everyone is different and there are many factors, but I can guarantee that if you give up you’ll fail for sure.
There are several aspects to a successful online presence. It does vary based on your goals.
You may just want to blog and have some Google or other ads for extra income. I can tell you straight up that it will be pennies. Unless you have a huge authority site with thousands of pages or articles that gets lots of daily traffic, you won’t earn much.
There are affiliate programs that pay you a commission on prospects or sales that your efforts direct to the site of the affiliate program. This is lucrative but you have to choose the right program since they pay differently and they also come from many different types of products and services.
You can sell your own service or product, market your own ebooks, or even design merchandise for a percentage of sales on sites like cafepress.
You can join the online auction frenzy via eBay and others. Amazon has a great affiliate program too.
There are subscription sites that you can start as well if you have some product or service that parole would be willing to shell out a monthly fee.
There are terms like mailing lists, squeeze pages, sales pages, sales funnel, upsell, downsell, pay sales, subscriptions, SEO, keywords etc
I can say with confidence that the best way for most is to start a WordPress blog site, which is easy, and then go on keyword search expeditions to be able to target your market, or niche, with free organic search engine traffic. There is an art to this and software for keyword planning, mail lists, web hosting, domain registration, blogging, admins everything you need to do. It’s not hard so much as time consuming and you have to have patience and not get overwhelmed.
Working from home online can be just the ticket out of the doldrums of corporate cubicle hell. At the very least you’d develop real skills that can be used at a variety of employers should your online marketing not go where you need it to.
